Loving Silence Sit-In: Liefde, Vrede & Compassie
Op zaterdag 14 februari 2026, de dag waarop de wereld liefde vaak op een romantische manier viert,
nodigen wij van Universal LoveBeat je uit voor de tweede stilte Sit-In voor liefde, vrede en compassie.
Niet luid, niet tegen iets. Maar vóór dat wat ons verbindt. Samen met anderen naast elkaar, in stilte, voor liefde en vrede — ongeacht geloof, achtergrond of politieke overtuiging.

Deze Sit-In is niet tegen iets.Het is een gedeeld moment van gezamenlijke stilte en respect vóór dat wat ons verbindt: liefde, vrede & compassie.
We creëren een plek van verbinding - met elkaar, met de aarde en met al het leven.

De wereld kan heel luid en hopeloos aanvoelen:Oorlog. Geweld. Haat. Verdeeldheid. Eenzaamheid.
Juist daarom kiezen wij ervoor om samen stil te zijn. Om samen te laten zien dat liefde, vrede en compassie dagelijkse keuzes zijn — ook (en juist) met al onze verschillen.

Wij zijn geen formele organisatie en vertegenwoordigen geen ideologie of religie.
Universal LoveBeat is een gemeenschap van harten die samen komt om momenten te creëren van:
- compassie en zorg
- heling en inspiratie
- eenheid voorbij verschillen
Onze benadering is puur, eenvoudig en respectvol.
In stilte richten we ons op vrede, liefde en compassie. Zo creëren we samen een plek waarin mensen diep kunnen verbinden — met zichzelf, met elkaar en met het leven zelf.

Op Valentijnsdag 2025 kwam Universal LoveBeat voor het eerst samen op Utrecht Centraal voor een liefdevolle stilte Sit-In. Niet als romantisch gebaar, maar om liefde te eren in haar diepste essentie: liefde als de universele kracht die ons allen verbindt — met elkaar, met de Aarde en met alle levende wezens.
Over de Sit-In
In een wereld die vaak wordt gekenmerkt door verdeeldheid, onrust en verdriet, kozen wij ervoor samen te komen in stilte — voor liefde en compassie. Mensen van allerlei achtergronden zaten zaten zij aan zij. In stilte mediteerden we, luisterden we en waren we eenvoudigweg aanwezig. Af en toe werd een mantra uitgesproken, met een boodschap van universele liefde.Het was een warm en diep verbindend samenzijn.
Waarom dit ertoe deed
- Liefde is sterker dan verdeeldheid
- We maken allemaal deel uit van hetzelfde leven
- Elk levend wezen verdient zorg en respect
- Stilte creëert ruimte voor heling, inspiratie en verandering
- Samen in stilte zijn geeft moed en hoop
Puur en eenvoudig
De sit-in werd bewust puur en eenvoudig gehouden: geen vlaggen, spandoeken of logo’s — alleen het symbool van het hart. Deelnemers brachten hun aanwezigheid mee, soms een meditatiekussen of een deken, en samen creëerden we een gebaar van vrede en eenheid midden in de stad. Het was een mooi moment, die velen raakten.
Samen afronden
Aan het einde van de Sit-In zongen we samen Imagine van John Lennon — een moment van verbinding, hoop en een gedeelde visie op een wereld in vrede.

Sitting side by side with others, in silence, for love and peace — regardless of belief, background or political views.

Loving Silence Sit-In – Utrecht, 14 February 2025
On Valentine’s Day 2025, Universal LoveBeat came together at Utrecht Central Station for a loving silent Sit-In.
Not as a romantic gesture, but to honour love in its deepest sense:
love as the universal force that connects us all — with one another, with the Earth, and with all living beings.
About the Sit-In
In a world often marked by division, unrest and sorrow, we chose to come together in silence — for love and compassion.
People from all walks of life sat side by side. In silence, we meditated, listened and simply were.
From time to time, a mantra was spoken, carrying a message of universal love.
It was a warm, grounded and deeply connecting gathering.
Why this mattered
- Love is stronger than division
- We are all part of the same living whole
- Every living being deserves care and respect
- Silence creates space for healing, inspiration and change
- Being together in silence fosters courage and hope
Pure and simple
The sit-in was intentionally kept pure and simple. No flags, banners or logos — only the symbol of the heart. Participants brought their presence. Sometimes a meditation cushion or a blanket. Together, we created a gesture of peace and unity in the heart of the city. It was a beautiful moment, which moved many.
Closing together
At the end of the Sit-In, we sang together Imagine by John Lennon — a moment of shared hope, connection and a collective vision of a peaceful world.
